Location: Double Nursery and Primary School, Dukku Local Government Area, Gombe State
To commemorate World Girl Child Day, the Dizauregi Support Foundation (DSF) Gombe State Cluster organized an engaging outreach program themed “Empowering the Girl Child – Awareness and Advocacy.” The event took place at Double Nursery and Primary School, Dukku LGA, Gombe State, Nigeria.
The program focused on creating awareness about the importance of education, self-confidence, and equal opportunities for girls. The DSF team led discussions that encouraged young girls to believe in their potential, pursue their dreams, and become positive change agents in their communities.
During the session, participants were educated on issues affecting the girl child — including early marriage, school dropout, and gender-based discrimination — and how education and community support can help overcome these challenges. Teachers and community members also took part in the discussions, highlighting the role of parents and educators in nurturing girls’ growth and leadership.
The outreach reinforced Dizauregi Support Foundation’s commitment to advocating for gender equality, supporting education, and empowering young girls to reach their full potential. By promoting awareness and dialogue, DSF continues to champion the rights and well-being of the girl child across Nigeria.
As the world celebrates the Girl Child, DSF remains steadfast in its vision to build a society where every girl has access to education, health, and opportunities to succeed.
